COBRA Stage I
Two, (2), Cobra blast cabinet models are available. Both are 100% welded, and include a negative pressure, 100% welded dust collector design using MERV tested and certified cartridge filtration. The Cobras are the best of the smaller, compact sandblasting cabinets using 16 or 22 cfm of compressed air.
The Cobra Stage I is a 100% welded negative pressure cabinet. Also included is a 100% welded dust collector using 14-gauge steel. The Stage I includes two (2) side access doors on the blasting cabinet and one access service door on the dust collector. The dust collector has hopper bottom dust storage with MERV tested cartridge filtration technology.
This MediaBlaster® model, the Cobra Stage I, was designed for general repair shops, in-house maintenance, home shops and automotive repair shops when compressed air is limited to air compressors operating on only 220-volt single phase power supply that is normally limited to 16 cfm at 80 PSI maximum. This Mediablaster is primarily used for glass bead blasting.
The advanced cartridge filter technology makes the Cobra machines best in their field without considering our larger sand blasting cabinet lineup. Cobra units have a taller-wider cabinet size than the Space Saver model. The Cobra Stage I has a smaller gun size, 16 cfm @ 80 PSI, and uses a 350-cfm blower and manually cleaned cartridge dust collector filters cleaning cycle. Each Cobra machine model has all the air controls and each model has the gun size matched to the blower, separator reclaimer and dust collector filters size. If your compressed air is limited, you want to manually clean the filters in the dust collector using an included rapper assembly, and need to operate a smaller cfm gun size with a smaller cfm dust collector blower, the Stage I Cobra with its lower cost might be the right blasting cabinet for your application.

We recommend a 220-volt, single-phase electrical power supply for the air compressor. Pro Tip: Never buy a compressor using the displacement cfm number; always use the second cfm volume number listed with 90-100 psi inside the tank, because tank pressure reduces performance.
