Many companies lack a deep understanding of abrasive blasting applications today, their history, and market evolution. Media Blast & Abrasives Inc. was founded by an abrasive blasting cabinet engineer. He brought decades of experience to the company in both Abrasive Blasting Cabinets and Pollution Control Dust Collection. His understanding of the various applications for blasting cabinets is why we have Daily Duty Cycle (DDC). This is a meaningful way to explain how a specific cabinet model does or does not meet a user’s needs.
We apply this to our entire line of more than 170 blasting cabinets to help buyers realize equipment has limits. Media Blast & Abrasives Inc. machines are split into Categories: Light Duty, R&D (General Purpose), and Industrial. Each category has equipment with DDC percentages that inform buyers if the models fit their needs. A cabinet cannot meet an application’s needs if the application requirements are greater than the equipment DDC. And even a simple double shift application moves Industrial blasting cabinets into a different dust collector configuration.
Since its inception, Media Blast & Abrasives Inc. has diligently created a comprehensive catalog of products based on various applications and DDC requirements. We manufacture abrasive delivery models across all three categories, wet and dry siphon, gravity feed, and direct pressure, with both self-contained and free-standing dust collection systems.

Media Blast & Abrasives Inc. is known for using Military Specifications in its innovating cabinet designs. We have supplied equipment to various military projects for many, many years. And many of those high-quality machines are still available for purchase today. So our customers have the opportunity to purchase exceptional blasting cabinets that are the gold standard for military use.
Media Blast & Abrasives Inc. operates on a simple principle: If you know it won’t work, tell the customer it’s a mistake. Our application history enables this honest assessment approach. There were some companies we advised not to proceed with their plan, who went on to partner with other manufacturers, only to be disappointed. Experience taught us that time spent trying to fix a doomed project is time wasted, but we’re happy to help troubleshoot problems if customers are open and willing to listen.
Growing beyond our primary standard cabinet line meant constantly increasing manufacturing costs. Standard blasting cabinets, 5% to 100% DDC, remained our mission. We understood that while automation opportunities were plentiful, (everyone wants to reduce labor), pursuing them could spiral costs upward despite appearing to be beneficial.
Staying true to our mission while applying automated design knowledge to eliminate high-wear parts produced the industry’s largest cabinet line. Operating in Southern California, and California being the world’s fourth-largest economy in 2026, gives us access to Los Angeles and Long Beach seaports and global shipping opportunities.
