PrecisionBlast Direct Pressure | Media Blast & Abrasives, Inc.
The PrecisionBlast Direct Pressure uses direct pressure to deliver abrasive at 1.1 pounds per minute, 66 lbs./hr. It also uses a high efficiency, patented, separator reclaimer to aerate and dry the fine abrasive using 150-220 mesh abrasive. The PrecisionBlast sandblasting cabinet can operate with larger abrasive – ask us about optional features needed for larger abrasive sizes.
The PrecisionBlast is specifically designed for situations when a Pencil Blaster is too small and slow and an Industrial Blaster is too large. It recycles abrasive, generates more frictional heat, doesn’t require an air compressor amplifier, and can out produce production of any pencil blaster about 10 to 1. PrecisionBlast Direct Pressure machines aerate the abrasive using one air change per second inside the cabinet and the patented separator reclaimer to make sure the abrasive is not removed and flowing.
PrecisionBlast Direct Pressure Use
This Mediablaster® can be used to de-burr and texture medical tools because direct pressure blasting allows through-hole processing making the part an extension of the nozzle. It's possible to operate the machine, load parts, reload the 50 lb. ASME coded pressure pot, and also clean the dust collector from the front of the machine - standing or seated. This makes a great design for limited mobility operators.

We recommend using 3/32″ ID nozzle and a 220-volt single-phase electrical power supply for the air compressor. We can provide details for applications using 1/8″ nozzle ID. Air compressors vary greatly, check the cfm output on the compressor being used or visit Air Basics for more information on compressor selection.
Pro Tip: Never buy a compressor using the displacement cfm number, always use the second cfm volume number listed with 90-100 psi inside the tank, because tank pressure reduces performance.
