TB-5 Master Tumble Basket | Media Blast & Abrasives, Inc.

The TB-5 Master by Media Blast® is a complete machine using a variable speed tumble basket for larger and smaller parts that will process using simple two directional part mixing. Tumble Baskets often have a removable basket with an open top mounted inside the machine. The TB-5 Master uses a larger heavier basket with the same 1/2 hp 90-volt DC variable speed drive found on the TB-3 and TB-4 Tumble Barrel models for larger part loading. This allows small part processing for smaller loads and larger loading for larger parts. Larger parts are normally processed in this type of basket machine, but total basket weight for the removable basket including parts must be considered for operator safety. Normally the basket is not removed and parts are scooped and unloaded manually in the TB-5 Master model. 

TB-5 Master Tumble Basket - Automatic Unload

Media Blast does offer an optional automatic unload feature permitting unloading using the manual jog rotation, drop in discharge part slide and outside hopper unloading door.  This type of unit will process many different part sizes and shapes. The parts and budget you have will decide which machine is best suited for the application, basket or barrel. Tumble basket equipped blast cabinets are not as fast at mixing parts as the tumble barrel design. Tumble barrel machines are primarily for parts smaller than five, (5), inches in length. 

Media Blast® offers standard basket mixing paddles that bolt into the basket and they can be quickly and easily replaced. Some companies offer large tumble basket models and they need to then supply multiple guns and an oscillator to cover the blasting area. This can drive the cost of the machine much higher.  Using mixing paddles allows part processing using a single gun. This eliminates part damage as a result of too much cfm being used against the parts.

The TB-5 Master is a complete machine with a large 440 sq.ft. dust collector with automatic timed vibrator cleaning cycle. The *patented abrasive separator reclaimer is bolt on and replaceable for operation using 0-150 mesh abrasive. The TB-5 Master is also available in the TB-5 Master Cyclone Model complete with Pneumatic Conveyor for fine and ultra-fine abrasives. The Cyclone model is used to aerate, dry and keep the finer abrasives flowing inside the machine.

Our unique basket design allows the abrasive to leave the basket out the removable perforated bottom screen.  This screen with the solid basket sides can process the finest parts by simply changing the perforated screen hole size.

Adding the optional removable basket anti-pop-out cap keeps smaller/lighter parts inside the basket during the blast cycle.
