The Hobby Blast is a small, light duty, siphon top-loading media blast cabinet that requires 12 cfm of compressed air for proper operation. To save on floor space, the unit allows for bench top or wall mounting. This Mediablaster® is manufactured specifically for smaller cleaning applications such as hand-held tools or auto parts.
Equipped with many standard features, which are listed below in detail, this 100% welded-steel, leak-proof blasting cabinet is designed to outperform larger cabinets having having fewer features. This MediaBlaster® sand blasting cabinet is primarily used for glass bead blasting.
The Hobby Blast sandblasting cabinet requires, but does not include, a vacuum dust collector (shop vacuum) for operation. This allows users to use any existing shop vacuum. An optional separator reclaimer is available to remove dust and keep the abrasive clean. This feature greatly improves cabinet visibility by removing the dust.
If your application requires a larger gun and you want a top loading cabinet to save space, see the Space Saver HD. For applications requiring a cabinet size larger than the Space Saver, look to the Cobra Stage I and Cobra Stage II with increased height and width capacity including two side access doors.

We recommend a 220-volt, single-phase electrical power supply for the air compressor needed to operate this cabinet. Pro Tip: Never buy a compressor using the displacement cfm number; always use the second cfm volume number listed with 90-100 psi inside the tank, because tank pressure reduces performance.
